Hi everyone,
I would like to invite all the Education Directors, Principals, and other interested community leadership or members to a video conference on Friday, November 4 at 2 pm CST or 3 pm EST. If you don't have access to a video conference unit, contact me for a conference call number so you can join by telephone.
This is for all the communities involved in this FNSSP project. The communities include: Bearskin Lake; Cat Lake; Deer Lake; Fort Severn; Kasabonika Lake; Kee-way-win; Kingfisher; Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug; Lac Seul; Mattagami; Mishkeegogamang; Muskrat Dam; North Caribou Lake; North Spirit Lake; Pikangikum; Poplar Hill; Sachigo Lake; Saugeen; Slate Falls; Wapekeka; Weenusk; Wunnumin Lake.
As the Nishnawbe Aski Nation First Nation Student Success Program Coordinator, I am required by Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (formerly INAC) to complete a midyear report (April 1 to September 30). A new report form was released in October asking for monthly attendance rates and student learning assessment results. The monthly attendance rates are based on the average of all students in a school. The student learning assessment results are based on the number of students in a grade that met or exceeded the provincial standard level.
I am asking the communities to sign a Consent for Release of Information form. Please join me on this video conference to get more information. I will be sending a consent form and template for the information being requested to the each community. Please contact me for more information. Thanks
