Partners
In response to the Government of Canada's call for proposals for the First Nation Student Success Program, Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN), Kwayaciiwin Education Resource Centre (KERC), Northern Nishnawbe Education Council (NNEC), Keewaytinook Okimakanak Services (KNET), Weenusk and Mattagami First Nations partnered to submit a proposal to administer the program for a service area.
All the partners are committed and motivated to ensure the success of the FNSSP project for our service area. Each of the partners has a different focus.
Nishnawbe Aski Nation coordinates the reporting to the Government of Canada, the funding to it's partners, and advocating for i partners.
Kwayaciiwin Education Resource Centre (KERC) is the lead developmental organization of the tools and instruments to be used to support and implement the objectives of the FNSSP at the elementary level. KERC also partners with Keewaytinook Internet High School to deliver secondary school services.
Northern Nishnawbe Education Council (NNEC) is the lead developmental organization of the tools and instruments to be used to support and implement the objectives of the FNSSP at the secondary level.
KNET Services support the Performance Measurement portion of the project by administering an education database management system called Dadavan. KNET Services also ensure the connectivity to enable the sharing of data.
Weenusk and Mattagami First Nations deliver the FNSSP program in their respective communities.
