FNSSP Community Liaison - Summer 2010 Workshop
by Angie Morris - Thursday, 29 July 2010, 02:43 PM
Welcome to the new and improved FNSSP Meeting place.
This is your space to discuss and share ideas with one another and support each other in our work.
First off, Thank you for taking time out of your busy summer holiday to join us in learning more about the FNSSP program. I'm hoping this workshop brought us together in a more united direction for our children's education. When it comes down to it, it comes down to our Nation's future and those are our children.

How did you find the workshop?

what stuck out most for you?

what kind of information would you like to see more of?

what are your ideas in keeping in contact with each other and the program?

Thanks for coming and it was awesome to meet you all. I look forward to our meetings.

Enjoyed the workshop...still sitting here smile  Nice to meet everyone.  Put voices to faces or is it faces to voices?

Hope to get the teachers up and running then work on the nominal roll with the principal.  After the nominal roll is done then its time for report cards smile

The workshop was good, glad I came ... got some questions answered but felt overwhelmed at times especially still learning "all this".

The Video clip of Lena Fiddler was the "one thing" that stuck out for me, I can totally relate to her because it was almost her saying what I've felt. It's been so challenging, especially when there is no one supporting my efforts back home.

Having a list of other FNSSP workers with their contact numbers, email addresses, etc and the other organizations who are partners in this project.  It would be great if we could share where we're at, what we were stuck on and how we were able to "fix" it...

glad to have met most of you's!

I was wondering how it was going with your FNSSP dadavan work plan for the school?
Are you able to carry though with the work before school starts?

It was great to have met you during the workshop.
Will you be working on the dadavan system with Evelyn?

Do you need more assistance in your school's FNSSP work plan?

I hope to see you and Evelyn in our next Video Conference meeting.

Well, its the day after the conference and im back in front of my computer (again!) Just finished uploading all the photos on my camera. Im thinking most of you are either in the air or heading to the airport as I write this.....wishing you all a safe journey home to your families.

Just wanted to say Thank You to everyone for joining us for this workshop and to the KNET and KERC teams for making this happen. I think It was a really good learning experience for everyone and we built a solid support network for the upcoming school year.

I hope we can do it again next summer.

Looking forward to when our paths cross again

Good evening team ... CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who was able to make this workshop so successful. I look forward to watching the recordings from all the different sessions.

Sorry I missed meeting everyone at the workshop (I am happy to let you know that I was out paddling in the bush with my family during the workshop [smiles]). I just wanted to report that I have received some wonderful messages from some of the FNSSP partners who attended the workshop letting me know that they were very impressed with the team effort that existed throughout the entire workshop. I am glad everything worked out.

Now to get everything ready for the new school year so the teachers and school administration is able to begin using the data management system for recording attendance and the student's marks.

Do call if you have any concerns or require any support to get your data management system in place for this school year.
