Good morning Ron ... Yesterday I posted that link to all the other FNSSP projects across in the Reference Material database in this meeting place. It would be really useful to see what resources these other projects are using for the three main goals of the FNSSP initiative, ie.

  1. Student Assessment and Retention
  2. School Success Planning
  3. Data Management systems (performance measurement).

Are you willing to start collecting this information and posting it on this web site?

Brian

Hi Brian,

That is an interesting suggestion. I can start collecting this information and posting it on this website after I finish up a few other things.

Good stuff Ron ... looking forward to seeing what the other FNSSP projects will share with us.

Your message requesting materials produced for this FNSSP project made me think about all the different powerpoint presentations that have been made for this FNSSP project. It would be great to see all these presentations and all the reference material created for this project included on this web site.

Thoughts?

Brian

Brian,

I agree that presentations and reference material would be great to have on the website.

My only thought and I could be wrong is that we should be mindful to keep the material we provide user-friendly. I think the material should be well organized, relevant to the user, and not duplicating.

I am not assuming that you would do this, but I have been on websites that looks like material was just dumped. PowerPoint presentations basically saying the same thing with the only difference being the name of the audience.

As an example, you could produce a new PowerPoint presentation and/or reference material directed at the users of the website for each subject.

That is my only thought

Ron
