Ron ... Thanks for doing this. It is nice to have them archived online. What about posting the NAN presentation [smiles]? I was glad that I got to attend this second gathering as well as the one last year where all the FNSSP projects from across Canada met in Ottawa. It is really good to see what the other projects are doing and to share challenges and opportunities. Along with Ron and I, Jennifer Dobi, Frank, Abraham, Cathy and Goyce were able to be in Toronto for this workshop, thanks to the team at NAN. There were a total of 11 FNSSP projects represented at this gathering that was hosted by the Indigenous Education Coalition (http://www.ieceducation.com). The missing presentations include IEC, Kenjgewin Teg Educational Institute (http://www.ktei.net) and Sandy Lake First Nation (http://sandylake.firstnation.ca). Two other Ontario FNSSP projects were not in attendance - Anishinaabeg of Kabapikotawangag (http://akrc.on.ca) and INAC's FNSSP project for their Federal Schools. These files for each of the presentations are VERY BIG [smiles] and will be tough for the folks with scarce bandwidth to download. Is it feasible to put them onto a memory stick and send a copy to the different schools for people who want to see these presentations? Brian |
