Investing in Our Teachers, Investing in Our Economy This report concludes that increasing teacher effectiveness is the single most profound economic transformation open to Australian governments. It shows that improved teacher effectiveness is the best method of improving student performance; provides substantial economic benefits for individuals; and costs less than policies targeting reduced class sizes which research shows have not worked.
