CIDA's International Youth Internship Program (IYIP)

CANADEM's GPS program is excited to announce it's participation in the Canadian International Development Agencies (CIDA) International Youth Internship Program (IYIP).

We thought you might know a few professionals at the beggining of thier carrers who would benefit from participating in one of the 20, approximately 9 month long, United Nations positions. 

If you do, please pass on this email to them so they can apply early. All applications must be submitted by August 9th, 2010.

To be eligible to apply, applicants must be:

  • A Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
  • A post-secondary graduate – graduate of a degree of diploma from a university, college, post-secondary school of technology, post-secondary institute or a CEGEP (college d’enseignement general et professionnel);
  • Out of school;
  • Between the ages of 19 and 30;
  • Available for 9 months;
  • Unemployed or underemployed;
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada;
  • Able to manage their current financial obligations;
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and sound writing skills;
  • A philosophical commitment to international development.
  • REGISTERED WITH CANADEM GPS FIRST
