Good morning team ... Glad to see that others are beginning to show up in these discussion forums. I am the KO-KNET Coordinator working out of the Sioux Lookout office. The FNSSP project is an exciting opportunity to include EVERYONE in how we work together to develop the BEST educational experience for the children across the north. The database component along with gathering and sharing the stories and experiences is already making waves across Canada. I do encourage and support everyone to post their pictures and stories about the developments and opportunities that are happening in the First Nation schools to help the children be all that they can be. I will work with the KO-KNET team to help the FNSSP team members (the First Nation staff, the teachers, the parents, the students, the partner organizations, etc) to help make all this work over the next few years. There is lots of work to be done ... the time to do is NOW! ... I am looking forward to seeing A LOT of great things happening in EVERY First Nation school across Nishnawbe Aski Nation and elsewhere in Canada! Brian |
