The First Nation Student Success Program - www.fnssp.knet.ca (FNSSP) is part of an overall initiative that focuses on the long-term reform of First Nation education. It is designed to support on-reserve educators from Kindergarten to Grade 12 in their ongoing efforts to meet students’ needs and improve student and school results.
Dadavan "Outcomes" is a web-based student information system that is capable of supporting data for hundreds of schools while allowing thousands of users to simultaneously access and manipulate data. This platform includes feature such as Customizable Report Cards, Nominal Role Reports, Teacher Planner and other management tools.
The FNSSP Datavan Outcomes Project was created to help fulfil one of the three components of the Reforming First Nation Education Initiative, which states:
Performance Measurement: First Nation schools are required to put in place performance measurement systems that allow schools to assess, report on, and take steps to accelerate progress made by students and by schools.
