Anatomy of a Meeting Place Site |
|
|
| A |
Login Link: Use this link to log in and out of the K-Net Meeting Place website. |
| B |
Breadcrumb Menu: Shows the location of the current page within the site structure. Clicking on the "Home" link returns the user to the Main page. |
| C |
Blocks: Blocks are "boxes" that exist on the right and left side. Blocks can be added, removed and moved around according to the Facilitator's preference. See the Types of Blocks tutorial for more information about blocks. |
| D |
Section 0: The top-centre section is called "section 0" because it is located above (i.e. before) the weekly sections (which start at 1). This section can be hidden via the Settings configuration screen (see Site Settings tutorial). |
| E |
Weekly Sections: A site can have unlimited number of sections. These sections are made visible to members (or students) on a weekly basis. If a Facilitator sets a start date of March 1, for example, members will only be able to see section 2 on March 8, section 3 or March 15 and so on. Weekly Sections are commonly used when delivering a course over several weeks. |
