NOSCP Community Forests

The purpose of the training & healing program is to increase the effectiveness of the Community Mental Health Workers. Mental Health workers will receive an accredited course under the Human Services Worker Diploma through Loyalist College in Belleville, Ontario. As a result, mental health workers will be better equiped to serve sexual abuse victims. In addition to the training, workers will committ to creating support teams in their communities made up of community leaders, elders and other service workers to support the victim and their families. The goal is to better serve sexual assault victims and increase community support for victims.
