5. Binder n.b. Marta in Systems has been developing an awesome lo-tech binding solution, materials roughly $20. These could be assembled w/shop tools, and some binding skills (very easy) would need to be acquired. Also, because the BG library already has a binding system (comb spirals), this cost/technology could conceivably be waived. The Fastback site claims their product binds 3.5X faster than punch and bind systems.
