I went to the Anishinawbe Clan Systems teachings today at 10:00 and it certainly put things in perspective. I was sorry I did not see anyone from the class there, although they might have been hiding in the back of the room. It answered a lot about what it means when people call themselves  Anishinawbe and where the seven teachings come from. You are not allowed to write it down, so I wont post it all here, you just have to go there yourself. I think our readings about indiginous knowledge makes it clear why writing down oral tradition is so problematic for so many different peoples. These events would be really great for the outreach and content development people as you can meet some people from the local aboriginal community and find out more about the culture of the people we are working with.

Although this week's pretty tight for me I would like to get out to at least one or two of these events.

I might be available on Friday for the closing ceremony.

Have any of you been? If so, ho was it?
