SNR - Signal to Noise Ratio
db - decibels
RF - Radio frequency
DNSR -downstream Signal Ratio
UNSR - upstream Signal Ratio
Drip loop - a loop in the cable before entering the building so the water drops to the ground.

I had a co worker also refer to the 'drip loop' as a 'service coil'

leaving some slack in the cable before termination allows easier termination of the connector if required.
