First of all, I would like to introduce myself.... My name is Teri Kavanaugh and currently working at Eagle Lake also known as Migisi Sahgaigan, Ontario. I am fairly new to this all and just wondering if anyone is willing to help me out a bit to get started on things..... It would be greeattttt!!!! Ahhh yeah there are some questions I do have to ask you.... First of all, how did you get started. See what I did was registered with knet and wrote a lil intro of myself. But I am not really too sure what I am suppose to be doing.... do you have someone telling you what to do exactly..... see that is where I am kinda lost :S |

yea i do whatever my supervisor tells me what to do..lol so find out who ur supervisor is or call angie an ask her thats, what i would do |

Hi Terri Hey dnt feel bad. i was the same when i first started lol. kinda walked from community offices back an forth all day. trying to figgure out what is really expected of me. But if you go back to the homepage of Knet it show links of meetings they had. Once i listened in on one of the links, it will tell you all about what is expected of you. ( i think it was the timesheet meeting ) Basically You are a SchoolSupportWorker. lol that also works with computers in the school. does your school have a computer room ? |

Hi Teri I know we've been on the phone a few times which is good. I hope that you've found your way (somewhat) I know in Eagle Lake that there is an FNSSP project happening and the request for a youth worker came from Andy at Bimose. His idea was to have the youth worker support the FNSSP within the school. I hope he and Mary spoke to clarify this between them and I hope you're getting more direction from Mary on this. Each community is doing different things but I do ask that everyone logs on the the YICT program to share what they are doing in their communities. angie |
