Today's mail brought the comments from SSHRC that we will need to address in our full proposal.  Deadline for submission is now Sept. 17 (which means we need to submit it here about Sept 1).  the application form and instructions will be on website shortly.  See below

Areas of strength:

• important topic and well-suited to objectives of the CURA program
• solid alliance of key stakeholders from the community and university
• considerable potential

Gaps/Concerns to address in full proposal:

• could benefit from further refinement, specifically more developed in terms of research and kowledge mobilization plans
• 'post carbon era' needs to be more clearly delineated, particularly in relation to the proposed activities
• research component can be refined by a) limiting number of research questions and b) outlining method
• knowledge mobilization - clearer plans for dissemination of results to a) community and b) university audiences
• further precision in presentation

There were 50 proposals reviewed by Committee, 21 funded.
