Question regarding the Role Assignments

Within the Site-wide Groups block, there is a function for assigning a user to a role. I would assume this role is only related to this group, and not assigned at the site or course level, but I want to make sure.

If a user is assigned the group manager role, what access to they have? Only see/manage the users with a group? Enroll and unenroll users in courses within their groups?

Thanks for your work on this! It is a big start for the business users out there!

Hello Iver,

The role assignment applies to the front page (site level).  This is an optional feature that allows the admin to designate users (the Group Managers) to manage their group(s), again at the site level. Roles set at the site level are not automatically copied over into the course level (role assignment at the course level is still done manually).

Please note that we are still working on this block. More features to come.
