Hey my name is Chad Kakepetum, am from Keewaywin, but curently reside in Weagamow Lake, Ontario. I started in the fall and winter of 2008, I would say around September or October. The training was useful and opened my eyes to the ever so growing industry of technology, there's a lot of opportunities out there that involve this kind of work. So am glad that I got into this program, and would like to be more apart of it when it comes around again. Hopefully it's something I can do for the rest of my life.

If you would like to know more, I don't mind answering questions.

Thanks

Chad Kakepetum

Hey Angie,

I will be back soon enough maybe the next cycle, because my spot is filled in right now, lol. I don't know where Moses sets up people told me it's at the band office, but I never seen him there when I went there, but will try again soon.

Everything is going good with me and my partner, the baby is 5 months now, and spoiled little angel, ALWAYS WANTS HE DADDY!, LMAO, she's cute.

Try and send you or post up a picture later.

See you

Chad

My name is Kristan Panamick and I am from M'Chigeeng First Nation on Manitoulin Island. Last summer is when I worked through YICT at Kenjgewin Teg Educational Institute. I think that this was a really good experience and I would love to do it again! I had fun flying out to Sioux Lookout with the other ICT's that summer to do some training.

Hello All,

My name is Tabatha Jourdain, I am from Couchiching First Nation a few kilometers from Fort Frances, Ontario. I just moved back to my reserve to be with family.  Previously, I lived in Lac Seul and worked at the knet office in Sioux Lookout.

I worked as the YICT Coordinator back in 2004-06 and in 2008 worked as the Regional SchoolNet Coordinator to March of 2009.  I worked with many different people over the years such as Knets staff, community principals, band office staff and the youth workers. I enjoyed working with the youth.. "calling and emailing all youth for reports and timesheets...LOL"  I worked with knet staff to set up a YICT training session in Fort William First Nation out of Thunder Bay back in 2004.  Which was a great opportunity.

I still use my knet email address... tabathajourdain@knet.ca  feel free to email anytime.
