Since many members wanted a different name for our project, we have decided to change the name to Print on Demand. POD is definitely way cuter than ODBS. If you have any reservations, please voice your concerns here. Margaret - if the class agrees to this, we should change the name of this Moodle. |

No reservations here! My group has been waiting for this for a while. Having the word 'print' in the title is very important to distinguish our service from other ways of 'demanding' books (via mail, inter library loan, e-book downloads). Besides, now we can just say pod and save ourselves three syllables. Much easier for people outside our class to remember as well. |

I like POD as well. I think it will much easier for people to talk about, instead of, "Wow have you heard of that new thing? That thing, you know, O something?". Also, I am a fan of keeping 'On Demand' in the name. It sounds fresh, productive, active... |

I like it too, POD also gives the impression of something mobile... that can go from place to place. |

Yeah, It's pretty cute. Mobile, compact, friendly, full of potential. I wonder if it's a bit short. Maybe I've just been brainwashed by iPod, but I feel like this should be a two syllable deal. oddPOD? on demand digital printing of data?--too much of a mouthful... I'll keep thinking. |

renaming update: The project will remain ODBS. Despite a general interest in renaming the project, there was 1) no consensus over a new name and 2) the class felt that a name change would be too confusing. |
