The MoodleFN Project produces Moodle plug-ins for First Nations schools and organizations. Along with developing generic customizations that make Moodle more “user-friendly”, the MoodleFN Projects also aims to create customizations that support, promote and celebrate First Nations identity, culture and pedagogies.
The MoodleFN Project relies on members to provide feedback about improving existing plug-ins and suggest ideas for developing new ones. The basic idea is to pool our resources so that we can take on large development projects that would otherwise be unattainable for us as individual schools or organizations. About once a year, or when funds permit, a coder is hired to carry out the actual code development. We are currently seeking funding partners for our next round of development. For more information about becoming a funding partner, please send an email to fernandooliveira@knet.ca.
The MoodleFN plug-ins are free and may downloaded from this webpage (the MoodleFN "Meeting Place") or directly from the Moodle Modules and Plug-ins Repository. Forums are also open to all registered users. Click here to login or register.
