Developing Policies and Procedures

If you have ever wondered how companies develop manuals to guide work by their employees, now is the time to find out. Whether you are an employee of a not-for-profit, an entrepreneur needing guidelines for employees or in some other role, this workshop will assist you in understanding some of the basic processes and ground rules for developing policies and procedures.
The workshop facilitator will be Wendy McKay, Development Officer. Wendy has been providing Nishnawbe Aski Development Fund clients with business development and bookkeeping assistance since 2003. Wendy has taken training in various bookkeeping software and developed manual systems for the use of her smaller clients not familiar with computers.
Director or Manager?

The waters sometimes become muddied around responsibilities of a manager hired to be responsible for the day-to-day operations of an organization and responsibilities of Directors forming a Board to provide vision and oversight. Recognizing there are exceptions, this workshop will assist you, through the use of specific examples, in distinguishing between the two types of positions.
