4K1G (Queensland):4K1G Too Deadly has been operating for 10 years. The stations philosophy is to be the ‘voice of the community’, and each week they focus on a new and exciting initiative to keep the community involved and informed. 4K1G runs local programming out of Townsville for 18 hours a day. Their local breakfast show goes to Mackay, through Cape York via the BRACS network and also to Radio Larrakia in Darwin. The morning show from 9am to midday is a current affairs show hosted by Velma Gara. And their afternoon drive show also is broadcast out of Townsville. |
8KNB (Northern Territory):Radio Larrakia (call sign: 8KNB) is an Indigenous Australian community radio station in Darwin, Northern Territory with a broadcast range that reaches Jabiru. Radio Larrakia was established in 1998 by members of the Larrakia Aboriginal community of Darwin. Larrakia Nation ceased association with Radio Larrakia in 2007 and TEEABA resigned from Radio Larrakia in 2006. Radio Larrakia aims to promote Larrakia culture and language to Darwin and the surrounding region, combined with news, music and sport through broadcasting media. The primary target is Larrakia, secondary target all other Indigenous, third target the wider community. |

6GME (Western Australia):6GME Radio Goolarri 99.7 FM first commenced broadcasting on ABC Regional Radio in August, 1991 with a one hour a week magazine program. As the station developed and the skills of trainees flourished the station gradually increased its airtime to meet staff and community demand. The station was eventually broadcasting 25 hours per week on ABC until it started to operate its own community radio license in July 1998 by broadcasting 24 hours a day. |

5NPY (South Australia and Northern Territory):Radio 5NPY Anangu Winkiku Satellite Network translates loosely as "everyone's satellite network" referring to all the people of the central western desert language groups. The network consists of eleven communities with their own BRACS (Broadcasting in Remote Aboriginal Scheme) radio stations that are hooked up to a central hub station in Umuwa. The Communities are: in South Australia: Fregon, Ernabella, Mimili, Indulkana, Amata, Pipalyatjara, Yalata; in the Northern Territory: Docker River, Imampa, Finke River, and Mutitjulu. |
