Actually its been pretty fun. When I started I was asked why I didn't apply for the actually IT job when it was posted, I responded with "Well I looked at the qualifications and figured I didn't have those" then they told me that I should have applied anyway, would have more than likely been given the job as I am a band member. lol Oh well, when the current IT guy retires Ill be there. For the moment I will take all I've learned while working here into whatever comes next or just bide my time with drilling and blasting companies until I learn enough to join a web design and development company. I still have an active project I will continue to be working on in my own time and that is to develop a website for the school that will be interactive for the teachers and students. Not as easy as I figured it would be but I will have it ready to go before the start of the next school year. I thank the YICT program for helping to give that swift kick in the behind to remind me what I should have been doing a long time ago. Automotive parts/service advisor and mining jobs weren't really my calling it seems. I feel confident in what I've learned these past few months to earn my Comptia A+ certificate, web and graphics design is something that can be done during my own time. |
