Youth Employment 2013-14

Well this week has been the slowest week since I've started at AMBE. It's definitely more laid back when school is not in session. At most there has been 4 of us total in the office, out of a staff of 9. Which I guess isn't too bad.

My tasks this week:

I've updated our website and Facebook page. I'm trying to keep both pages active, so I'm always looking for things to share/post on our pages. My main focus is positive events/info from each school. I don't think enough focus is put on the different activities being done in each school. So that's been my main goal.

I will be meeting with our school admins next week. I will be offering them training on designing the slides for the Lobby TV monitors. They've been impressed with I've created so far, so I am happy to pass on the knowledge to them so they can be creative with it as well.

I am working on detailed instructions on how to access our webpage on the back end. Once I'm finished, 2 people will be taking over the duties of updating the AMBE webpage. I'm putting step by step instructions on paper so they can have something to reference.

I've also been building a library of graphics/backgrounds for the staff to use for the Lobby TV monitor. I know some staff members are not comfortable with using the computer so I'm trying to make it as easy as possible for them to have access to a graphics library.

I'm looking forward to the next 2 weeks, I have a couple of projects that I will be working on and producing before my term is up. So I'm pretty much getting everything in order so it will be an easy transition when I leave.
