Youth Employment 2013-14

I worked on one of the schools monthly calendar, posted it on the website and Facebook. I also created the slide show for the lobby TV monitor based on the events listed on the calendar.

I did 2 courses on Alison Online Training on how to use Smart Boards. We have a few boards in our schools and they are being underutilized. I was asked to get familiar with them so I can teach some of the staff on how to use. The second course I took shared tips and tricks on how to use the board. I will have to watch it again to make sure I didn't miss any steps. But it was pretty cool. You can create an interactive presentation where the children have to match a word with a description or place the word under the correct category. This of course is all pre-set by the teacher depending on the subject they are working on. But it will show which answers are correct/incorrect per student. This is an awesome tool to have. It's always good to involve the students to help them comprehend what they are learning.

If anyone knows of additional training on the Smart Boards please let me know. I'm hoping to put some notes/tutorials together to help the teachers out.
