Can’t send Texts on your Nokia 302 series?
After testing the Nokia 302 to its memory capacity, here is some information we have discovered that may help you work out some issues quicker with your Nokia cell.
Essentially, you may need to do factory reset on your cell phone and to initiate this process, follow this procedure on the Nokia 302 series:
Menu > Settings > Restore factory settings > restore all > use security # 12345 > follow instructions.
The first time around these instructions may fail. Should this occur, wait a few minutes, and proceed to remove the battery and SIM card. Then replace the battery only (keeping the SIM card out). Perform another factory reset - then place the SIM card in phone.
This is what was further discovered:
The texting issues have to do solely with the phone, not the network.
· There does not appear to be a limit of a number of messages that can be stored; however, the Nokia C302 cells have 50MB of memory that is shared amongst everything that the phone uses. This will include photos, videos, messaging, and/or emails.
· If the memory reaches its 50MB limit the cell phone will refuse to accept new messages.
· Text messages consume very little memory compared to photos or videos. It is entirely possible to exhaust the memory by taking a single photo. At this point the phone will refuse to accept any more messages. Here is a possible scenario:
Ø User has 50 messages in inbox and memory becomes full.
Ø User deletes all messages.
Ø User takes picture or video.
Ø User uses up all memory – once again.
To ensure memory space for any incoming messages on Nokia 302 cellphone: clear the cell of all photos, videos, songs, or long documents – anything that will take up memory space.
