Searching for a Sudbury videoconferencing site
by Brian Beaton - Friday, 16 April 2010, 09:10 AM

Good morning team ... Monique Beaudoin [MBeaudoin@santesudbury.ca] wrote ...

I`d like to participate via video conferencing, but we are not set up for it. Is there someone else in Sudbury who will be video conferencing that I could go and join with?

++++++++++++++

So I wrote back ... I am not too sure what everyone is planning in the Sudbury region but this might be a good opportunity to invite others to meet together in your community at a videoconferencing location. What are your contacts like with any of the following locations in Sudbury …

  • FedNor or any Federal government department (everyone of them has V/C that is probably not used too much [smiles]
  • Most provincial ministries have V/C
  • The college or the university
  • Contact North (might cost)
  • Whitefish Lake FN Health Centre is part of the KNET network
  • Metis Nation office (not sure of the space thru)

In any case, this might be a good opportunity to get the Sudbury partners together for planning their portion of the project and what they want to see happen. Hopefully the NCTR team can support these other sites with some refreshments and costs …

Thoughts?
