Whitesand First Nation has undertaken a "Community Sustainability Initiative". See the first issue of their newsletter, Sagatay, describing their efforts at http://wsfn.ca/Whitesand%20-%20Sagatay%20Newsletter%204th%20quarter%20-%202009%20web.pdf. I submitted a proposal with them under the SSHRC Aboriginal Program but it was unsuccessful. With their permission, I'm sure we could use elements of that proposal.
