FNEC’s New Meeting Software

On the Path of The Elders

Community Hubs, Health and First Nations
Tuesday, 4 October 2011, 10:32 PM Community Engagement Hubs (CEH) provide a vehicle through which First Nations communities can partner with the FNHC, Health Authorities and the Federal Government to participate in the TFNHP. The formation of CEH's encourages natural collaborations based on tribal and geographical factors, and provides resources to engage extra capacity to facilitate the coordination work between communities.

ICT Supporting First Nations Classrooms

With the support of the First Nations Education Council (FNEC), it has now been tailored and expanded to serve the needs of Quebec First Nations Masters students and educators. It provides educators with training on how to creatively integrate ICT into classrooms.

Permanent Studios
Tuesday, 4 October 2011, 10:16 PMIn Quebec, the First Nations Education Council partnered with a variety of organizations to install broadband in 13 of their 22 member First Nations communities. These networks enable members of those communities to distribute and share digital media. Permanent Studios is one of many examples where the upgraded networks linking First Nations IT Regional Networks to communities creates training opportunities and raises cultural awareness.
