  • First Mile Special Edition of Journal of Community Informatics

Online event to launch the special edition of
the Journal of Community Informatics
April 4, 2014

The First Mile and First Nations Innovation project hosted the online launch of the Journal of Community Informatics Special Issue: Building the First Mile, Vol 10, No 2 (2014), and the Community Informatics Declaration: An Internet for the Common Good.

Our online event brought together 13 scholars in 11 locations - including 6 in Canada, 3 in the USA (including Hawaii and Alaska), France and Australia - who spoke about their research articles published in the Special Issue. The technical connection (a videoconferencing bridge) for two-hour session was coordinated by Keewaytinook Okimakanak in Sioux Lookout, Ontario.

This webpage contains the video archive of the event, the list of presenters, links to their articles in the Special Issue as well as their presentations.
