7 Attributes to Success - September 18, 2009

This workshop will provide you, as an entrepreneur and as a person, a structure to valuate yourself in 7 areas key to entrepreneurial and personal success. The workshop facilitator will be Colleen Martin, Loans Manager, Nishnawbe Aski Development Fund (NADF).  Colleen has a Bachelor of Commerce from Carleton University in Ottawa and has worked with First Nations and Aboriginal clients since beginning work at Nishnawbe Aski Nation in 1991. She has been with NADF since 2001 first as Senior Executive Assistant and then as the Loans Manager.

Cash Flow versus Income - September 25, 2009

Struggling with understanding the request from financial advisors for cash flow statements and income statements?  This workshop will help you understand the difference between these statements and the importance of each to your business planning and decision-making.The workshop facilitator will be Wendy McKay, Development Officer.  Wendy has been providing Nishnawbe Aski Development Fund clients with business development and bookkeeping assistance since 2003.  Wendy has taken training in various bookkeeping software and developed manual systems for the use of her smaller clients not familiar with computers.

Profit Margin and Pricing - October 2, 2009

This workshop reviews rationale related to product/service pricing and how price relates to the bottom line.  Pricing is a crucial component of business success.The workshop facilitator is Gail Anderson.  Gail attained certification as a Small Business Counselor through Confederation College and has been employed with Nishnawbe Aski Development Fund since 1997.
