Meeting Place: On Demand Book Service

This is the KNET meeting place (created 01/2009) for the On-Demand Book Service (ODBS) Project, design to be a place to archive our work as it develops, as well as a way to engage the FN communities.

The goal of the ODBS is to support the joy of reading in rural and isolated First Nations communities in collaboration with community members, within the context of learning, knowledge sharing and history recording.

3	2009 Student Contributions Below are the discussions, final deliverables and general contribution of the Graduate students participating in FIS2125 from January to April 2009. This was the first time that Prof. Nadia Caidi (along with Adam Fiser) used the ODBS as a real-life learning opportunity as part of a graduate level course dealing with information in the global context. The class was organized into four teams: Community Research, Content, Systems, and Outreach. The class produced final reports detailing their activities, critical reflections, as well as a final presentation to community partners at KNET and KORI.
